Democrats are surviving scandals that would have sunk them decades ago. It doesn't appear possible any more for scandals to sink a Democrat. Therefore they will wantonly commit fouls.
Once upon a time, if you fibbed, it cost you. "Read my lips. No new taxes". This scandal did damage to Bush.
Biden pledged he wouldn't govern by executive order and broke the pledge, and it hasn't cost him.

Trump lied every time he opened his mouth, and that was evident on his campaign trail in 2016, yet he won. Unless you are saying his lying cost him the election in 2020, and you admit he lost fair and square?
Remember when Al Franken was forced to resign for some inappropriate jokes? Yet you have current Republican members of congress who tried to get people killed (Cruz, Hawley, Greene, Boebert) and they are all doing fine.
Remember when John Edwards had his career destroyed and was "canceled" for having an affair while his wife had cancer? Have you heard from him lately? Nope. But Newt Gingrich is still in the media constantly, and was even a potential VP pick for Trump, and he cheaten on his cancer-stricken wife too. He even filed for divorce while she was in a hospital bed being treated for cancer.

Using Saul Alinsky tactics against republicans. Accuse them of doing what you are doing. But the question is, what is the psychology that makes the voters pin hate onto what Trump does while ignoring it when their own guy does the same thing?

@dd54 I think that there is a Spirit with a collectivist nature that compels people towards anger if Trump seems to profit from a bribe while that Spirit does not compel them to care if Biden takes bribes.
Jordan Peterson used to support the most left wing party in Canada, the National Democratic Party, when he was younger and he discovered, although there were some well-intentioned people in the party he never understood the political activist side of it until he realized that "they didn't really have as much compassion for the poor as they did hatred of the rich." The progressive left always has a target they hate more than the people they pander to. Right now, Obama - you know, the community activist, has placed enough progressives in powerful positions, in the courts, and Democrat circles that they can ignore the law with impunity. The media has been left wing as long as I can remember and social media can now hide everything negative about the left or deny the truth of it.
But this is not just happening in the States. It is happening in Canada and Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Elections are being fraudulently won and progressives, I would go so far as to call them communists, are being placed in power. I would say that most of these progressives don't know they are supporting a communist putsch and think that socialism is some kind of democratic benevolent form of caring and compassion. After all, look at the Scandinavian socialist countries. A lot of people are arguing today that those countries are not socialist but the truth of the matter is they are but only slightly more socialist than the US. Socialism is a process that involves an evolutionary move toward centralization of power and erosion of the extant political and social structure. Once the socio/political atmosphere is weakened and ripe for change the revolution can occur.
Any means to an end. The media is minimally charged with holding the government to account but they don't seem interested. Democrat politicians are not anxious to charge one of their own and they will allow criminal activity to continue while they charge their opponents with all manner of allegations and false accusations. The courts seem on side with letting criminals go. The police are following orders. No one is being held to account and until that starts happening it will continue to worsen.

And I'm not surprised that his refusal to meet with BLM hasn't cost him either. Yeah, there are still riots in Portland, but no one's paying them any mind anymore. Except the poor residents of Portland who don't want anything to do with the insanity. I hope they get out safely and move to a more sensible state.
