Good idea, but will require a commitment and some discomfort for a period of time.
This would mean a certain level of hardship for those who have become dependent upon Amazon (much like those who have an account with FaceCrook, TwitTurd, YouDupe, Goofle, etc). There are alternatives, but people enjoy the convenience of sticking with the devil they know). It does no good to decry the evils of we aren’t willing to stop benefitting from those evils ourselves.
@Daveclark5 Afraid you may be right, what most people don't think about is that most things that are free have an unseen price.

Absolutely. Nothing is truly free. Somebody has to pay for it and in the case of social media, the users pay a lot more than they could imagine in unseen cost to the security of their PII as well as the assistance they are giving to these tyrannical technocrats in building a profile that can be sold or used to sway their thinking or perspective.
