I mainly want a safe nest for my people and others should want that for themselves. The only people who don't deserve a home for their people are those who refuse that right to others.

They are not. For regular corruption (like them asking for bribes when pulled over, especially in Christmas time,) there's this internal affairs office you go to from which you never hear again. I guess they do hold then accountable if you are wealthy, but I wouldn't know. But I'm not risking it for this stuff, it's definitely not worth it. It wouldn't be the the first time they break into my house right? And they wouldn't be so "generous," I assume. It's so hopeless... I just hope though this isnt related to the new forced curfew from the virus and the economical crisis because if so, it's only gonna be getting worse and worse... I hate living here. Everybody is brainwashed by the media already as we don't have influencers like you guys do, to inform us of what really happens, so trying to talk sense to them is like doing so with a leftist. I feel so alone.

Honestly, I don't really know. One of them said something like "they said that it sounded like they were killing someone in here," and I was in fact watching a YouTube video that had hard sfx over marvel fight scenes in between the talking. But it sounds ridiculous to me. However... can't really think of a better reason. I didn't think they were THAT corrupt.. you know... until today. I honestly had no idea what drove them here. You are left with such a feeling of lack of shelter or something. It's been like 10 hours and my nervous system is still kinda shaky. I felt comfortable ranting here because if I did so in Facebook with locals, One, that may be dangerous, and Two, I get so pissed off when they let me know they are not willing to move a single muscle when it comes to improving the country, I just didnt see the point. Thanks for replying, I guess I kinda really needed to vent or something.

@Naomi it sounds like garden variety, third world corruption. I live on the border and it’s not uncommon for either scenario in this part of the world and although it’s less common, it has been known to happen here in the US too.
