Had a conversation recently where I was told that the Black Lives Matter movement is not really about race. They just focus on police violence with that name because blacks are disproportionetly killed by police, but they really care about all people police kill. You will never see them ever talk about, much less riot, when cops kill people like these two,

BLM will only protest, and riot when it involves a black person being killed by cops, and they will not even bother to distinguish between an innocent person, or a habitual criminal, much less some thug who is trying to get away with a crime by shooting at cops, and anyone else nearby. Blacks have had quite a few more reasonable moments to actually protest, and riot against cop violence, but remained oddly quiet. Like when a 12 year old boy, Tamir Rice, was approached by a cop with his weapon drawn, ordered to place the toy gun in his waist band on the ground, and as Tamir moved to follow the cops order the cop put three rounds into the boy's chest. Another time was in Ohio I think. A young black man was shopping in a Wal Mart. He had picked up a toy rifle off a shelf, still in it's packaging with the bright orange tip, and was walking around the store talking with his girl friend on his cell phone as he did some more shopping. I expect some idiot thought it would be funny to call 911 to report a black man at Wal Mart with a rifle. Store video shows the young man walking along with his fully packaged toy, on his phone. His back is to the camera as he walks down an aisle, then turns a corner. The cops are immediately behind him with their rifles at the ready, fingers on the triggers. As the first two cops move out of sight around the corner you can hear one yell, "Stop! Police!" and a split second later BAM! BAM! BAM! as the cop shoots this man in the back, not giving him any time to respond. Both the perfect reasons to protest police violence, but blacks just went on about their business.

Oh yeah, there was the case in Los Angeles where a 13-14 year old Hispanic boy was going to meet friends for some war play carrying his toy rifle that fired plastic pellets. A cop over a block away saw the kid walking down the road, got his rifle that fired live rounds, aimed, yelled at the kid to stop and drop the weapon. Not hearing this moron from so far away with all the city noises the kid kept walking so the cop killed him. In Denver there was a deaf man who would carve wooden figures with a pen knife. He was walking down the street carving something, a cop saw him and thought this was a very dangerous man wielding a very dangerous weapon. The cop draws his side arm, gets in behind the man yelling at him to stop. The deaf man was well known in the area, and people were stepping out of shops along the street yelling at the cop the man was deaf. Cop ignores them, and puts a couple of rounds into his back killing him. Okay, one more, this time in Florida. A 16 year old with mental problems went off his meds. In the past when he did this his mom called 911, and had an ambulance sent. The kid went quietly, got back on his meds, and things were fine for a few months. This time dispatch sent cops. Two of them showed up, the kid freaked, and they struggled with him, but had him restrained on the ground with a cop on each side. A third officer, a sergeant I think, walks into the room, declares, "I don't have time for this shit" then promptly draws his weapon and murders the boy.

BLM will NEVER talk about any of these cases except Tamir Rice, and the guy at Wal Mart because none of the the other innocent victims were black. BLM is a racist organization with no concerns for anyone but their own race, and they do not care how any one else, even those of their own race, suffer when they go on rampages as has been happening in recent days.

Now most folks will break this down into two simple factions, republicans versus democrats. This is where republicans become the most complicit in destroying our society. This is actually one of the very few times I have seen republicans actually speak out against cops. Even then they throw such talk right under the bus because after that they post memes about how there is only 1% bad cops, and 99% good cops. The worst rationalization is them pulling the tired old "only a few bad apples" idiotic commentary out to justify police abuse.

Here's the thing. Over the years as I have looked at stories about police corruption I have noticed three very common denominators in situations like this recent event of the man dying. First, the cop who commits that act has been on the force for over 5 years. Meaning he is, as a cop, old enough to know better. Second is the fact that if their office does not outright destroy records to protect the corrupt then research will show that this cop actually has numerous civilian complaints against them through their past. The police will have some note about how they "investigated" the complaint, decided nothing was wrong, then stuck the file in a drawer and forgot about it. The third common denominator is that there are many other cops who serve with this corrupt asshole who are well aware of the guy's typical act of going over board. Often because they have personally witnessed it. Such as the other cops who watched this cop get his knee on the man's neck and only add pressure when the guy complained he could not breath.

All these cops who know this 1 guy is corrupt, and should not be on the force are not part of the 99% good cops, they are not a good apple. They are corrupt assholes just like these guys that murder innocent civilians. These cops maybe never engage in such actions themselves. They might be those cops republicans like to post memes, and stories about who stop to throw a football for some under privileged kid in the ghetto, or change a tire for an old lady because someone happens to be close by with a camera, or they might be the cops who get stories written about them because they started mowing the lawn of some old vet that can not afford to pay someone to do it. Doesn't matter. They are still corrupt assholes that belong to the 1%. And if you honestly add all those "good" cops into the equation then that 1% versus the 99%, mostly good apples changes EVERYTHING.

See those good cops, they know some mutt cop is bad, but when they see him committing his special crimes, while in uniform especially, they will never arrest the punk. If he pops his cork, and becomes verbally violent over the slightest provocation they never tell him to shut up, and advise their CO this guys needs help. If they stand there, and watch this guy go that extra mile witnessing him murder a civilian they do not arrest the corrupt cop on the spot, and in 99.9% of the cases when they are questioned about the incident they actually defend the killer. They will not cross that thin blue line we keep hearing about.

Then we have a whole other class of corrupt cops republicans will gladly gloss over as "They aren't so bad, so we will call them good apples to make things look better". Such as cops who pull someone over saying they crossed the center line when they didn't, or the light over their plate is out when it's working fine, or saying they failed to signal a lane change when they didn't, those are all corrupt cops trying to find reasons to meet their ticket quotas which they always lie about as well. Cops who bear false witness in court against people fighting a ticket they should never have got in the first place are corrupt cops. Police corruption is wide and varied. Making an honest accounting I do believe would show that we have far more corrupt law enforcement agents than not.

So it is not as simple as democrat versus republicans and one side is the all good hero of society while the other is the nothing but demons incarnate. They both add to the problem.
