These aberrations should be treated by competent psychiatric professionals. There, that's my take on this matter...I could be wrong...but I doubt it!

If one is set up with a genome that builds one as one sex - which is the mechanism by which we exist, desiring to change that is merely a psychological problem, and I have sympathy for those in that kind of confusion. Do I think society should stop them from expressing that? No. But I don't think its a good idea. Therapy might give them a chance to live a meaningful life. And the statistics about those who do change are dismal. Politically, it makes no sense for a few percent of the population to try to control the majority.
