Putting a tatoo on a beautiful woman's skin is like putting graffiti on the Sistine chapel... I don't care for it. That said, ladies can express themselves how ever they like as long as it doesn't harm someone else.

So many heavily tattooed women appear to hide behind a blanket of colors. Now when I see an unblemished body, one without piercings or piercing scars, without inked skin, they leap out as islands of natural, unsullied, self-assured beauty. Clear healthy skin, not gobs of cosmetics quietly radiate the inner beauty of individuality.

Personally I don’t really care either way. However I have yet to see a comprehensively tattooed female who’s attractiveness (to me, I can’t speak for other people) has been enhanced by the ink. It is more a statement of who they think they are and I suppose different people, in particular different generations will perceive the message differently. Also as one gets older it is often preferable to send a different message. This is a lot more difficult with a body full of tattoos. A further point is that such things as the way one dresses or what hairstyle is chosen etc are simply fashions. Fashions come and go and it is easy to change clothes or a hairstyle but being comprehensively tattooed is like having to wear the same fashions for the rest of your life ( unless of course they are removed).
What I have said doesn’t really apply to the odd tattoo rather than full arm, or more tattooing but I doubt whether this question relates to a single discrete tattoo.

Knowing many people who had tattoos in World War II, Korea and even the Persian Gulf, almost none of them are happy with them now. That matches my gut feeling that defiling the human body is probably not a good thing - man nor woman. That said, I defend everyone's right to decide what they should do with their OWN body, whether or not I like it.
