The messes of democracy continues all over North America. Good luck Canada as like in America your conservatives will yield to certain leftist policies to buy votes. It is the nature of democracy to buy votes and the newer voters tend to want more stuff. It is difficult to maintain a reasonable size of government when voters know they can get free stuff from the leaders. Maybe there is hope, but it will always be a tough battle.

When a conservative leader starts sounding like a liberal, he loses more of his base than he draws from undecided or disenfranchised voters. Scheer found this out the hard way.
