Saying things like "I'm sorry about the Holocaust but I don't give a s***. That just isn't useful in any way. It's just a way to get noticed and attracts some bad people.

You are correct, but you miss the point of WHY he uses said language. It is indeed useful, to stand up and throw back at those folks who would close down any dissenting discussion. As was so eloquently typed in the video "but, Muh Holocaust..." - used to shut down any criticism of Zionism or any part of Judaism.
In case you weren't paying attention, from the point you bringing up the Holocaust comment - back the video up a few minutes and listen to him talking about the verbal fights he'd had with the Alt-Right... there's bad people on all sides (and "some fine people as well",,, heheh) and using the inflammatory on those who refuse to listen (in either direction) is a fair way to fight back against their intolerance.
