So she had a modern composite material lightweight rifle; where bureaucrat politicians wanted someone like her to lug a very heavy obsolete rifle. I think she also shot 2 pitbulls that they brought with them, but I might be thinking of another incident.

People in the US are so obsessed about self-defence BECAUSE there are so many whackos on the loose with guns and plenty of ammo. We in Europe do not care much about self-defence because it almost never happens that somebody is killed
(I'm 56 now and there has never been a shooting in my town, my vicinity, among my friends, ..... we simply feel not threatened, for good reasons !

@Matias66 What's wrong with being "obsessed" about self defense? Here in my country you can legally buy a gun, but it is expensive. Solution? Buy an illegal knock-off (I live in the gun knock-off capital of the PH, Cebu) for self defense. One in maybe 50 households have a legal gun for protection here, but I'd estimate probably one in five households has an illegal gun here, also for protection. And if we want to be able to protect ourselves, it is none of your business. With all our guns, we are still considered a nice, friendly people.
