What I find disturbing is the notion that it being a retaliation makes this incident any less vile.
I see it in our media, an attempt to undermine the attack and write it off as "retaliation"
84,000 people died at the hands of Muslim extremism in 2017. 22,000 of which were civilians.

While media sites such as USA Today run articles about how terror attacks have fallen for the 3rd year in a row (2017) , only accounting for civilian deaths. Trying to act as though 22,000 deaths is a non-issue.
This drop being a direct result of US intervention, while simultaneously scorning our military for fighting them.
I may have went off topic but my point being I don't care if this particular attack was retaliation or not. They've racked up a death count unparalleled to any other ideology group in the world year after year - and to be honest it makes me sick to see any attempt of defending their actions or undermining their agendas.
