Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I am beyond tired of people saying, "But the Democrats are historically the political party of slavery, racism, and the Ku Klux Klan," because it's the same kind of nonsense argument you hear when the political Left says, "all white people in 2021 are racist, because America was founded by racists who made a society to favor white people."
Enough arguing over stuff that happened centuries ago, as if it still had relevance today.

My first degree is archeology... I can't help it... I love history... And what you say is true about the Dems... It matters to me... And to many other people... America was founded by visionary who just got out of a very tirying war against the most powerful colomnialists empire... They were NOT strong enough to go and start a civil war on slavery...So what they did...They did put seeds of freedom
INTO the constitution.... And they knew that time would do the trick.... Not 100 years later...The civil war started... And so on... Hey if you have doubts about the Democrates..Just ask Mary Jo Kopechne
Respectfully, you're missing my point. There may be many reasons to not be a Democrat in 2021, but what that political party did 200 years ago isn't one of them.
We have to stop this ridiculous strategy of judging people on things that were done decades or centuries ago. Do you think it's ridiculous that someone be cancelled because of a stupid yearbook picture they took 40 years ago? Or because a comedian made an off-color joke in the 80s? I would hope not. Should we cancel Catholics today because the Church briefly endorsed German Socialists in the 1930s? NO.
That's my point. Judge me on what I say and do TODAY - or if you must, in my recent history - and leave the past where it belongs.
@Alysandir Yeah you are the voice of reason into this....But...historically such fire can only be cleansed....With fire... unfortunately. Such is gravity...Push a pendulum... and it WILL come back.. I prefer to be the voice of reality.
