Here's the thing, other than Halloween how many other adults do fake occult rituals repeatedly where they dress in robes and dance around giant owls? I can understand college. Sure why not. But at 60+ what the fuck are you doing dancing in brown robes in the woods? You can break a goddamn hip if you trip over one of your robes.
if you really don't believe the ritual works then why do them?
They could save themselves a lot of headache and remove paranoia if they addressed things like Bohemian Grove if they really don't believe in the occult. Instead they get mad, threaten people, don't want to talk about and look fucking guilty.
