Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I do agree that we need to take out the unnecessary spending the government places in universities, but if we do that, there will be many issues.
One issue that I'm actually more concerned about would be the courses a university would offer. What courses would they keep? Would they keep language instead of theater arts? Mathematics over women's studies? Compared to how many students are enrolled in each course, the ones with fewer students would be cut. In some ways, women's studies and global health programs could be pushed into other classes, especially science classes, in which, instead of focusing on the actual study of science and fact, students would have to dedicate their time to "research studies" that push liberal/marxist views. (I know because I was in a biology class that had us talk about "humanitarian" issues that supposedly "weren't" politically motivated).
Mr. Reagan says that these kinds of courses would be done away with, but how many tenured professors and previously-enrolled students would throw fits? They would claim discrimination, bigotry, sexism, etc., and go after the entire system out of rage.
On the other hand, it would be nice to have less crazies on campus, and less student debt to boot.

I kinda smile when I see someone trying to be diplomat.. I use to be that way... The thing is....THEY will NOT be diplomat. Claiming racism and bigotry and sexism and discrimination IS actuallly the problem.. Over claiming it for self interest has become THE problem... And historically You have to balance strenght to strenght to be able to walk the razor edge of an acceptable utopia... in other word... You can't please everyone therefore you have to do what's right... Give classes on trades that produce something of value.
