This link demonstrates the importance of context in truly understanding others and the message they want to convey.
I try to teach my children and grandchildren other languages in order to help expand their minds and their potential. To them, this appears to be a game of speaking in code. However, in reality it’s far more than a one-for-one swapping of words for their equivalent in another language. True communication is the conveying of a thought from the mind of the sender to the mind(s) of the receiver(s). Language is a small (but critical) piece of true communication.
If you don’t understand koine Greek (or linguistics terminology), the first minute or so may not be as interesting to you except to get the word for word code portion of the translation. The exegeses is far more helpful/poignant.
