The Soviet Union was a Russian empire, Cuba is just as Nationalist as any other country of similar size in the Caribbean, China is now almost indistinguishable from a Fascist nation even down to the suppression of ethnic minorities, Vietnam has fought China and Cambodia, and the South African Marxist are treating white farmers the way the Nazis treated jews.
It is even arguably that the Nazis were not strictly Fascist as it was an invention of Mussolini in Italy and his ideas were only fully carried out there.
It's not like the human race didn't try communism. It was a political system well suited for most of human history before the invention of agriculture and animal husbandry and there was no possibility of anyone being anything but desperately poor.
