In a world made weak, especially Western society, there is little normal evolution as we get more weak by the decade. They say that most of the covid-19 victims are already weak and weakness may not be easy to detect in the rest. Physical or Psychological.
People want security not freedom and that is a weakness in itself. Unfounded Fear is a weakness also. Liberalism is a weak persons refuge and a real mental disorder.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.If you bother to check, you will find that half of the medical industry has been laid off, and there are non-media sites - many of them, which show no lines anywhere, and ventilators waiting for patients. If you're like me and know thousands of people, and have been in touch with your friends, and you have heard of only one or two who are sick, and know of no fatalities.
This is a media-driven panic overreaction, that politicians had no choice but respond as their constituents demanded.

You can see there that half the deaths are those with three serious pre-existing conditions, a quarter with two, and a quarter with one. ONLY 1% OF THE DEATHS ARE PEOPLE WITH NO KNOWN PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. This means if you are healthy, you have a 1 in 100,000 chance of it killing you if you get it, and you might not even get it. We are in way more danger driving to the grocery store.
And those who had pre-existing conditions might have been laid down by any other microbe, and their deaths any other year would have been blamed on heart disease, tuberculosis, lung cancer... But this year they will all be called COVID-19. Getting the picture?
We may never know exactly what happened in Wuhan, however the sequenced genes for SARS-COV2 tell us what we need to know. The important facts are:

SARS-COV2 has not been seen in humans before, so it must run through the population to build antibodies and herd immunity before it becomes part of the normal cycle of flu and coronaviruses.

SARS-COV2 is an unusually fast spreading virus that kills those with pre-existing conditions almost exclusively. That limits the expected number of deaths to those with pre-existing conditions - a population already at risk from the normal cycle of flus and coronaviruses.

The Chinese Communist Party tried to cover it up. Because they did, there was virtually no chance of stopping it from infecting the World in a month or so, except for those nations which had advance notice of SARS-COV2.

Sweden's low death rate proves that self quarantine is irrelevant for nations without advance notice. This means that draconian measures that risk economic stability are counter-productive in just about every measure.
In 2018, there were 80,000 flu deaths, and we did not shut down the nation. In 2019, the CDC posted 2,046,549 deaths from all causes except suicide, and we didn't shut down the nation.
Call your reps now and demand the quarantine rescinded.

Although Sweden are not forcing their people to self isolate by law they are mostly still doing it own their own.
The figures are always going to be inflated, and sensationalised by the media. On the contrary to that countries will likely always under report their death toll and number of infected.
The disease is only fatal because healthcare in most countries is under resourced. There is a genuine absence of resources where it is needed and thats a fact i know many people that work in hospitals.
@MrAllen, It is correct that the Swedish already live apart from each other culturally more than most cultures. So they had the advantage of unintentionally not allowing the spread from the beginning. In the burning house analogy, its like the fire reaching the fire house, and all the firefighters keep the firehouse incapable of burning as part of what they always do. That's why South Korea and Japan were able to maintain lower angle curves. They were fully expecting something like this from China and were ready at the first whiff that something happened. I bet they knew and acted on 17 November, when Li Wenliang posted on MeWe.
I also know medical professionals who have told me that non-essential staff are laid off, and that the numbers of infected here are nothing like the projections, but that only speaks for Colorado.

Is it evolution....? Or is it all just a calculated opportunity to create fear in order to control and exploit those less fortunate. I am inclined to agree with your views, but i would like to add that this so called "pandemic" was avoidable and if lessons are not learnt more people will suffer

I can agree with that....
My understanding of the Left is that it is their mission to cause chaos and destroy systems that work is part of their normal strategy to destroy the Constitution. That means when any opportunity comes along, they are ready. This media driven panic is unwarranted. We had 80,000 deaths die to flu in 2018 in the US and didn't shut down the nation. There are now 10,000 COVID-19 deaths and evidence that the curve is flattening. With the panic, suddenly our leaders are forced to respond, or risk being replaced. Perfect opportunity for those who feel mischief is the path to get their way.
