It is important that America does not compromise the legitimacy of its voting procedures. Rather than change the voring procedure, we must delay the Presidential election until we can normalize our social distancing procedures to open up our polls for business as usual. We can agree to limit Trump to 8 maximum years. But we must delay the vote until we can insure that our present procedures remain unchanged. If we delay the vote a full year, then his second term would not exceed 3 years, etc.

The scariest part of this is 'normalise social distancing'. Social distancing should never be 'normalised' and is a contradiction in terms . Lets call it what it is, anti-social distancing or as we used to call it 'divide and conquer'!!.

It is in the Constitution of the United States of America when the election will take place. There is no statement of compromise. Also, I already vote by mail so what is the big deal about polls to have to go to? Grow up. Vote at home and drop off your ballot. Easy!!!

Electronic voting is compromised already

The president's term expires at noon, Jan. 20, period. The States may choose to appoint electors by means other than elections, but the electors are required to transmit their votes to the House, and the House to take it from there. Under no circumstance is a president legitimate after his term expires.

I disagree that delaying the election is any more necessary than continued economic lockdown.

I disagree with both the lockdown and any delay in the election, but I oppose changing the election standards most. I think if the lockdown proponents feared the extension of Trump's presidency then they would be less willing to alter election day. Election Day, I fear, may be the endgame of this insanity.

@Facci, I sincerely hope you are mistaken, and I deeply fear you may be right.
