Honestly every government and regime would never want to disclose that is gonna affect their image or anything that will lead them to a position where they be questioned the source and the reason why they could not control the outbreak. This will only put them in a vulnerable position proving their governance to be a disaster.
Else every country needs to have a person like Kim-Jong who does not really care about being on the good books , who does not care about diplomacy , and ends up publicly admit that he shot the only person infected to stop the spread of the virus.
I mean it is just a matter of perception cause if you look at who was successful in curbing the spread then it definitely is North Korea.
So for that matter ,honestly no one can believe the statistics provided or reported by any country or organization cause at the end of the day, there are terms like manipulation coming in due to the basic human nature or behavior that tends to change the result. And no matter how efficient the human race gets or the technology gets, it can only get better with time and cannot be the best at any given point of time.
For that to happen , loop holes must cease. So technically data can only be a depiction of actual situation so it can only be close.
So, according to me, I do not completely believe to any statistics given out by any country, but I guess there is a reason why they would not disclose the actual statistics.

Absolutely not!!! They covered up when I had the Sars Virus in 2002 which I caught from a backpacker, and even today they say it started in 2003-4, when theres so many in Australia that had it in 2002. Over 8,000 died with Sars in 2 years, and over 8,000 have died within 2 months from Coronavirus, they said this is worse than Sars, after nearly dying from Sars being bedridden for two months and the loss of 20 kilo in weight, and they reckon this is worse!! No wonder we havent heard from Anyone that has supposed to have lived through this Coronavirus, which I dont call a Pandemic, I call a Plague!!! I really feel for those whove caught it, and as I keep sayng over and over, if everyone had started wearing a mask and plastic gloves in the first place they wouldnt have had to shut down the world, thats the only way the Governments know how to try and contain this to get people to isolate, all because there are not enough masks to cover the world of people, all 9 Billion!!! Maybe President Trump has the right idea with all these masks Now being made. People can buy them online from Kogan, or just make them yourself. I wish everyone well.

If they were filling their subways with the corpses of the dead in order to hide them from World ... Specifically Western ... Eyes, the CCP would claim they have it under control. That HAS to be the “Narrative” because THEY Say So.
I’ve NEVER Heard or Read about ANY Virus that was in Vertical Trajectory in Terms of Mortality Rates that simply went “POOF!!!” and Stopped ... yet, That’s what they Claim.
Useful Idiots in Our Media repeat it Faithfully ...
I understand why THEIR Media repeats it ... because they literally Have a Gun to Their Heads but ... WHY Does Ours?

Then there’s China’s (the CCP’s) back door, ready made, “excuse” that THEY are Concerned that it will “Come Back” ... so when the bodies can no longer be hidden or ignored ... they can say they are NEW .., the WORLD “Gave it Back to THEM ...

And it`s been proven people can catch it twice, one guy did in a month, and from thereon not a word mentioned that people can re-catch it. I wish you well.

@WisdomWarrior9
Ummm ... “Proven”? There’s an awful lot of stuff that’s been “proven” about this virus that is sadly lacking in proof.

Although I have read more accounts of it happening than the one you mention, the accounts don’t “prove” that the people died of the same virus ... or even had the same virus to begin with. Further, none of the accounts offer “proof” that the people were fully “cured” to begin with.

That there might be someone who was “reinfected” does not prove this is a typical situation. There is a small subset of people who get “reinfected” in most cases of diseases that seem to confer some level of “immunity” on someone who has “recovered” ... it might be as similar to that person having a problem in their Plasmid System.

@Bay0Wulf I originally always thought there was more to it about this Covid; Covid-Sars-2, because I had the Sars Virus, Sars-1 in 2002, and I nearly died, I was young and healthy. What saved my life was 1,000 mg of antibiotics, but they started a couple of years ago trying to convince us that antibiotics don't work on viruses, and also they're being over used, that was because they're cheap, and this is all about money. There's a lot I could say, but I'd be writing forever.
There was no lockdown with Sars in 2002 and it died out within two years. I've worn two masks ever since told to me by a Specialist that they cross-link, so nothing gets through, and I've worn them every flu season, and when Swine came out, and N191 etc, and I have not had a cold or the flu or a virus in 18 years. I also wear a mask when working with Chaff for my pets, as you can't see the spores, and I don't want Farmers Lung either! With all that said, it's now coming out that a lot of those overseas who've supposedly died from Covid, didn't! But every death was marked down as Covid whether the person had it or not. I believe that's happening everywhere.
I do not believe in lockdowns or being forced to wear a mask, we are all individuals, and are free to do as we wish. It sounds weird when they say, wear a mask to protect others, what a crock, you'd wear one to protect yourself, as you don't know who could be a carrier. But I also believe what that Professor said way back in January, and has not been seen again, and that was, "you can catch it through your skin" with this Covid, I believe it!
I recently ran into a Head Nurse that also went through the Sars Virus in the Dubbo Hospital in 2002, and she said, "with this Covid, when you get home shower all over". I told her, "from the beginning of hearing about this, I started wearing plastic gloves and my two masks, and I disinfect everything I bring home, and I do shower from head to foot in disinfectant after hearing the Professor"
I don't believe in testing for it, I believe this is spreading it, also, it's a great way to get everyone's DNA, whether they want them to have it or not!! It's a lot more involved than people realise, and the lockdowns have to stop, and the economy has to get back to business or China will rule the world alongside of The New World Order!!! I wish you well.

In a word, no.

I don't believe the WHO's statistics, I still have yet to hear from someone I personally know who has knowledge of a forsure severe case, to convince me of the severity of the virus

I have seen two references now to cell phones, including those no longer in use, and some found incinerated totaling between 14.5 million and 21 million. That seems to point to much higher fatalities in China than reported, and the greater unknown: vastly under-reported number of total cases.

This may be good news. The early unauthorized warnings could have been because of the extremely fast transmission. And we have good data on the number of fatalities outside of China. So if the total number of cases is very large, COVID-19 is far less dangerous than it seems.

I guess at the very least they have decided to risk it all to not ruin their economy. The U.S. may find itself in the same situation.
