This is scary
Have to remember these are prefab units, so it's mostly a matter of making the connections between them, and 24 hour work days ... they didn't show the prefab units being delivered which would have been quick, remember China has smaller housing requirements, these could be apartment units without appliances or finished kitchens, and looks like only one or two levels ... not scary or amazing if you break it down. Just determination to get it done.
Not sure why it's scary?
This is a military build in a response to an emergency using pre-fabricated materials. Its a pretty clever bit of engineering. In most countries, we would have built a field hospital with tents and treated similar numbers.
There was a time, the US would have brought this many workers in to build a major project, But it would now take 6 months just to get the union contracts in place. Its amazing what you can achieve if you have a motivated workforce, and flexible labor market rules.
And its specialized facility to only treat the confirmed critical cases out of the hospitals to take the workload of the normal facilities.
Its impressive, and reminds of the powerhouse of China's manufacturing facilities, But is it scary? or should we be motivated to wonder what happened to the rest of the world, and how do we get our ability to take action sorted.
I find it inspirational.
They can take over anytime they please with that level of organization and manpower
