COGNITIVE BIAS.

We all have them. We are usually blind to our own. We easily see them in others. Others easily see them in us.

Most of the discussions we see in social media are just “The Clash of Cognitive Biases”.

Want to become wise?

Explore your personal biases. A good place to discover your Confirmation Biases is a look at your search histories.

We look for things that confirm what we believe to be true. We define ourselves by what we believe.

When you say “I am a __.”, you are limiting yourself.

The time of year is coming when some of us make resolutions. If you do, add this one, “ I resolve to become more aware.”

Thank you for sharing, quite a detailed list there. Two big ones on that list were cognitive dissonance and ego depletion, and find when it comes to political views both extremes suffer from cognitive dissonance. Or... could I maybe be a little biased on that observation? 😉
