Operating at the base of the pyramid does not guarantee that you are right. That's where many leftist academics dwell.
On the other hand, time does debunk many hoaxes, such as the Jessie Smollett "attack" and the DC smirking teenager.

Maybe a recommended pyramid, But in reality, No-one under 50 gets past the top too tiers... Not sure they actually realise the 4 below that even exist.

Ok may 1 in 100 does...

We recently moved from the “Evergreen” state, where political nuttiness abounds, to the “Gem” state where the application of common sense is seen in almost every venue.

Looking at the pyramid and thinking about my new environment I’d say the middle two segments are the least impacting while the endless, real-time stream of “what’s going on right now”, represented by the second from the top, is the #1 driver of public interest, thinking and discussion.

This is a reasonable depiction of what is main stream today.

I try to do classical and recent books, long article web sites like Areo, Quillette, The Chronicle of Education. I scan headlines everyday, but try to give stories a few days to mature before really getting into details.
