Have not watched the video - So up front, I may be off topic. But Looking at the image I immediately noticed something fascinating, that also seems to reflect in solar weather. The 1970's was a period if very intense solar activity, that resulted in a major expansion of the ionosphere, (in fact many CB and Ham radio operators talk of working the world with hand held radios. Yet the temp (warm days) cooled, we are now in a low period and the temps increase, Solar weather is complex, but does the expanded ionosphere actually reduce the amount of infra-red (heating) from the sun??? The conventional wisdome is quiet sun, low temps. New data seems to indicate the exact opposite (at least on the 11 year cycles)

We only started looking a few years back, and we are missing lots of data. The Parker Solar probe data (still new) seems to show us some correlation, and ESA are looking to launch a sat to monitor this exact effect, as no-one has any data on how it works. - It should be ready in 2026!!! But we make predictions assuming it has no effect. How can this be ???

I struggle when I see bad science. I struggle more when I see data abused, Altered to fit a model, and just ignored, in order to prove a failed model.

I no longer work in normal weather, as I dare not speak here, But I do plenty of work in Solar Weather, and they still let us think & talk here, as the expanded atmosphere may result in satellite losses over the next 10 years, and if we get a very active event GPS may suddenly shift positions so as to be be as much as 60 metres off. Not great for car drivers, Worse for autonomous cars, Much worse for automated landings of aircraft in crowded cities. So they are willing to let us challenge thinking, as our scenarios are even more worrying than theirs in a modern Internet of things dependent world.

Bad science may yet have dire consequences. Good science admits we still don't know, just how much we still don't know.

I don't know. I wouldn't necessarily call "climate change" a hoax. Now, the leftist version of "we're all going to die!!!"' is a hoax. And to what extent man is contributing to the overall warming is unknown. And to what extent the planet will in fact warm over the next 100 years is also debatable. But there is ample evidence that the earth's average temp is rising. Low estimates say 2 degrees C(1.8 F) . High estimate is 7 C (12.6 F). Who knows really?
The real problem is we can't have an honest debate with the radical progressive types and we can't trust much coming from the scientific community either.

The first chapters of "The Skeptical Environmentalist" go through ways people have lied with graphs and statistics. I highly recommend the book. It is very readable and the exercise gets you thinking skeptically - an essential tool in today's online world. Almost 20 years old and still relevant - [amazon.com]

Maybe they should show this video in schools?

They would never show this to school students, it would make liars out of all their teachers!
