Apparently UK state policy is that that there are more than two genders. There is male and female, and as of yet unknown 3rd sex.
Maybe a hermaphrodite could be considered a third gender since they both male and female genatalia.
Sex is bimodally distributed and primarily gametic (secondarily genetic), but the overwhelming majority of people are either male or female, while a very small number of people can truly be called intersex. I'd have no issue if they recognized the existence of intersex people alongside male and female.
@EdNason As an anomalous condition, its significance would remain medical rather than cultural.
Is it as a birth defect can be a hermaphrodite, or as the eunuch ? Or is it something that should be kept in the UK?
