The US will only suffer if Germany is ruined, so your conclusion makes no sense.
@TimTuolomne You really expect any of the TWOT's presently in charge of the US to worry about damaging it? Practically every policy by this WHouse since taking power has been DESIGNED to hurt us. Smacking Germany back in line with the rest of the EU trumps any collateral damage to the US.

Not really Tim. Think of its consequences long term. It takes one of its ( US ) major competitors in Europe out of the picture. Short term it ( US ) prevents any ability for Germany to make any last minute deals with those evil Russians...
@Scraggy Sorry, I don't see that. And generally, the US historically has found that it needs all the friends it can get, and usually does not go around killing them off, like destruction of NordStream might do.
Ever recorded. But flared methane would be a much bigger number. So would cow flatulence and a host of other sources.
