Both countries have a horrible track record of humanitarian issues. Both after were part of the same commie USSR.

@Zapanzer Both are bad news, no doubt, but Ukraine wasn't the one who invaded another country based on a personal vendetta, and I certainly won't be siding with anyone who does such. Also, at least now in recent times Ukraine is striving towards democracy, which is more than what I could say for Putin's Russia.

@SpikeTalon expect they aren’t/weren’t moving towards democracy. They took control of all tv and radio stations, arrested political rivals and so on. Granted you are right Russia is the aggressor, but 1) the US shouldn’t be involved in the slightest 2) we know for fact the Ukraine govt has targeted their own citizens.

No arguing on that one, the US shouldn't be involved in that, not our fight. As for the second one, care to elaborate more?? We don't know that for fact beyond any doubt, and evidence that I've come across so far indicates that's a disinformation campaign against the Ukrainians. The sources that are claiming the Ukraine Government has been targeting their own citizens are mostly known Russian Government propaganda outlets, like The Duran and Southfront for example. That said, it wouldn't shock me any if the Ukraine Government was indeed doing that, it's just that so far I haven't seen any conclusive evidence to back up such a claim is all.
