Jack Posebeic wrote in his exceptional book, "4D Warfare, A New Doctrine for a New Generation of Politics"

"Fox news portrays itself as the "conservative alternative" to mainstream news but, in reality, it is merely a facet of the mainstream news itself. Fox news's role is to bring in voters who identify has Republican and create the allusion of a free dialog and alternative reporting, while only engaging with a specific set of issues defined to be safe by liberals."

I've wondered why Fox seems so focused on the gnats while giving the camels a pass.

Now I know why.
Thanks for making it clear.

I gave up on Fox 10 years ago. I saw snippets online but we don’t do TV so it was easier just to forgo the site.

Don't they call that controlled opposition? Two sides of the same coin just like the parties. Or two wings of the same bird.

You sound like the book has more information on that. I've wondered myself why important issues get dropped. I guess I attributed it to disorganization and being more concerned with money and/or countering the left's narrative than the reporting the real news. My observation is that FOX tries so hard to be 'neutral' and guarding against bias, they lean toward the left, or are at least in a constant struggle with themselves. Is there info in the book that provides another explanation?

I agree but the last 2.5 years they have been at least somewhat accurate. I can't say that for cnn and msnbc. As Tim Pool says they only cared about the trump bump.
