The officer was charged by the service’s Professional Standards Section for alleged incidents between 2014 and 2022. The charges include the Criminal Code offences of sexual assault, assault, criminal harassment and voyeurism.
The officer has been suspended from duty and has been released from custody on a promise to appear in court.
The alleged offences were reported to Ottawa police earlier this year, prompting an investigation by the Professional Standards Unit, which manages and coordinates investigations under the Police Services Act.
