Overheard on the interwebs: "Bill Gates' being the LARGEST farmland owner in the United States is far more concerning than Elon Musk's buying Twitter … I'm just saying."

Time for Congress to rein in Gates with special law beyond anti-trust legal action, which Gates side-stepped before with his unusual resources. He did not win because it was just. The US lost because the people could not afford the battle, and justice was not fulfilled. So new law applying to him specifically would fix this. There is precedent. And there is existential danger to the US to have one person in control of US food resources.

Write to your Representatives and Senators.

I'm interested to hear the precedent for writing a law to deal with a single person — and how that can be justified under the Constitution, which guarantees laws will be applied equally to all citizens. And, if Congress can write a lot to deal specifically with Bill Gates, I wouldn't they be able to write one that applies only to Elon Musk, another one that applies only to Donald Trump, and other for Rand Paul, and yet another for me?

@Wordmage ...or a law that allows the government to enforce masks and lockdowns? Oh, wait, they did that without a law, even though the Constitution provides for emergency measures for existential threats - which must be proven in a timely fashion. The government still hasn't proven an existential threat, and can not, because it is unprovable. There is no evidence of it.

Do you consist of an existential threat to the US? Does Donald Trump? Rand Paul? Elon Musk?

I believe the government can prove that Gates is.
