I wonder how much longer society can survive educated idiots . We see class after graduating class that should have been taught better . The salary structure collapsed a long time ago . People talk about student loan debt , but nothing will be done about it . I hope that the shift to trade schools and real jobs accelerates . 4 year degrees are reaching their end .

The everyone who participates gets a medal needs to stop. The school structure no longer teaches responsibility, that competition is a good thing, economics, correct history and needs to keep politics out of there class room. Our schools are dumbing down the students. Passing them on to the next grade even if they haven't "earned it." It is all about PC and equality. Neither apply in school.

I hope we bring back unions.

Unions are not always a good thing.

@AZWoman It's a way of giving more collective power to the workers. On an individual scale this can have all sorts of issues. But if all the workers decide they can't live at a given pay rate, then they can force the issue.

@criminey359 my ex was in a union. The dues were just ridiculous and they raised them yearly. The nepotism was unbelievable, the uncle hired the cousin whose brother owned the company. It was like the damned mafia.

Labor unions are just another government with its hand in your wallet . They're just more organized crime .

@criminey359 The goal of labor unions has always been Marxist Socialism . Corruption is the order of the day . Most of my family are United Paperworkers . You won't sell me Communism .

@criminey359 the problem is unions very rarely work for the workers once they develop a stable infrastructure.

@CodeNameZebra Exactly . Suits and ties are corporate widgets . They cover for each other and get rich off the backs of working stiffs . They're as bad as politicians and attorneys .

I'm sorry, I have been a member of three seperate unions and for the most part they are an economic harm. Unions in the public sector should never have been recognized and are immoral. Their collective hands are in our collective pockets.

Then can't we reform unions? Why not take steps to prevent corruption? Besides they can't be worse then exporting all the work to places that use sweatshop and child labor?
Or if instead of a labor union each employee is given some stock in the company when they get hired so they have more investment in how the company runs and works. And not just the corporate level employees.

@criminey359 if anyone finds a preventative treatment for corruption , it will probably be as rare as Unobtainium .
