Professor Peter Ridd was sacked after 40 years employment with James Cook Uni after questioning research carried out by the university on the Great Barrier Reef (which of course found that climate change was doing catastrophic damage to it). Ridd challenged the dismissal in court, and today a judge found the uni at fault on all counts of its findings used to justify the sacking.

Good news on the right to speak freely which is coming under attack more frequently in Australia. I hope the link to the article can be opened.
