I've never been to Scotland, but I've been fascinated by it ever since I read a picture book about Rob Roy 70 years ago - but more recently it's the Scottish Enlightenment that fascinates me. I consider it one of the most pivotal events of history. Is it remembered in Inverness today?
I was there back in 1999, the year the Scottish semi-independence. To be in Scotland for the month of summer solstice was a great adventure and pleasure. We went everywhere and spent the night in Inverness and walked along the canal. The next day we went wading in Lock Lomand, picked up a couple of stones to bring back.
