Yes... I'm pretty sure that some of the democrat candidates are well aware that they are making promises they can't keep.
Salwell is running on gun control. Repealing the Second Amendment is no easy task... and I'm pretty sure he's aware of it.
A surprising number of the candidates have basically kissed Al Sharpton's ring and pledged that if they were president that they would sign a Reparations Bill. And I think they're aware that such a bill would be incredibly difficult to implement.
