If I'm a US citizen, single mom and I commit a crime and go to jail, my minor child is separated from me, right? I can't stay with him not he with me. So how is it that Democrats are gnashing their teeth over children being separated from their parent when the parent, who is not a US citizen, has been caught breaking into this country illegally? Why should we treat them any differently? Better in fact than a citizen? This is protocol in criminal detainment. This is not "child separation" .
