A little history: When the pan-Muslim Caliphate was under attack by the Mongols from the East and the Crusaders from the West, a group of viziers in Bagdad wrote a series of spurious Haditha, texts about the life and sayings of Mohammad, to inflame the soldiers to fight a holy war. These same Haditha have been the basis for every pseudo-Muslim political movement that fought against Europe or China ever since. The Kingdom of Andalus in Southern Iberia was conquered by the followers of these Haditha having deemed the Muslim rulers to be too cozy with the Christians in Spain and triggering the Reconquista. Before that time the Kingdom of Andalus was the most advanced in Europe.
