What I want to know is why everyone talks about what should be done but nothing ever gets done. We have some of us who speak on what our nation should do to obstruct the government, we have those who wish to destroy the way we elect Presidents but nothing is ever said or done about the real problem. Corruption in the very place we should accept none, our halls of government. There should be an easier way to remove an elected official then what we have. Now that elected official is answerable to his state or constituents but what if this corrupt official makes laws and his/her actions affect our nation? Then their political demise should be in the hands of the People and not some group zealots who refuse to see the truth.

Trying not to come off as being negative or fatalistic but.... Corruption has existed as long as people have organized, with a common purpose in mind. Like forever. Corruption is not new. The Internet and mass media, which are relatively new, let you know about every case in America, or the world. Corruption exists in Government, private companies, large and small. colleges, schools, HOAs, religious organizations, etc. If pople and power are involved, there will be corruption. The greater the power, as you know, the greater the tendency is for corruption. You take a higher moral groung than the rest of us and claim not to accept it, but it will change nothing. As you stated. Removing elected officials? If it is criminal, we are still a nation of laws, and we have due process. I don't think you want to jump over that right? ".....should be in the hands of the People...." Sounds a bit scary. Are you talking about carrying some torches? Either vote them out or prosecute them to the full extent of the law. The wheels of progress in a Constitutional Republic turn slowly. They can turn more quickly in a Totalitarian nation. I don't favor that alternative.

What's happened is philosophy stopped reflecting and went into full critical mode. Yes, criticize established understanding, but quit with the theorizing on oppression. It is said sometimes that you can't make an ought from an is. Philosophy quit pondering ought and went back into exclusively is. Blacks are oppressed, women oppressed, colonized peoples oppressed...it's all about pointing it out and explaining "bad." Well, bitching about "is" doesn't lead toward innovative ideas on ought.

Good luck with that. Our system is broken. Primarily because it was designed for people with the intellectual capacity greater than the common sewer rat. Unfortunately, we are now hostage to the masses of morons that follow a letter ( R or D) instead of listening and debating ideas then implementing the best ones and when there is no “best one” then staying the hell out of people’s lives.
