A man was ill-treated because of his multiple face-tattoos.

Is societal rejection reasonable if the rejection is due to a choice the individual made?

Yes. The only groups that I know of who claim to have no standards of any kind are mainline protestant churchs, such as the Episcopalian, Presbyterian, and Lutheran churches. How is that working out for them?

The reality is that all groups of all sizes have standards. What groups have facial tattoos as standards? It ain't doctors and lawyers.

If a man is mistreated (whatever that means) by others when he is in an environment that is not his own, he had better get used to it because that is how all critters, including humans, work. I'm a mild-mannered, middle-aged guy who lives near a place where facial tattoos are rather common. How do you think I get treated when I am in their world at the wrong time of the day?

When I lived in Louisville, KY I used to ride the bus with a group of people attending the blind school. I became friends with a young woman who was born blind. She knew nothing of skin color, tattoos, clothing. She taught me so much. She told me to ride the bus every morning with my eyes closed, my ears and other senses wide open. I did so for about a month. Oh my goodness!! The same people ride that bus everyday! Once I decided to ride the bus with my eyes open, I felt like a total idiot. Our eyes DECEIVE US! We judge people when we first SEE THEM. THIS IS WRONG. Allow yourself to know what is on the inside!!

I grow weary of whether people should judge other people and to do so, makes you somehow xenophobic or anti-human! When in fact analyzing or taking a personal perception of someone may, in fact, save your life! This obsession with taking heed of everybody's feelings and what they may perceive is not only absurd and over the top, political correctness, but demanding of your individuality and own reason!F them!If I don't like you because your breath smells like dogshit oh well! The pragmatist or realist don't take such tripe seriously and well shouldn't!I don't like lima beans, does that mean I should eat them anyway!F off!

He could be the nicest guy ever. Don't judge someone by their looks. If you talk to people about their tattoos they generally have pretty awesome stories.

Really? How do you think you get through every day?

@Chip_Cook I worked on an ambulance for 14 years. Do you ever talk to people? You should try it

I am not responsible for your bad decisions, I can choose to to have nothing to do with you

It would depend on the choice that the individual made. A murderer would probably get rejected pretty fast. Meaning, is attached to that which produces what the narrative needs to fulfill its mission...whatever that may be. It is reasonable however, that tattoos have often been associated with malfeasants…but most do have personal and powerful meaning in their choice to go through the sensation of being slowing sliced with a razor blade… lol, some even become addicted… then considering the permanence of a tattoo. It is the bad apples, as usual, that spawn fear of those wearing tattoos. It is the media’s coverage as well. But if one has character; pride; discipline; self-motivation; it should be their abilities that should count. Then again, one must consider such choices as well.
