How might this divide the left? Maajid Nawaz mentioned some statistic on Joe Rogan, I can't remember exactly what it was, but it was along the lines of there being more than half of muslims according to many polls being against gay marriage, or possibly even being of the opinion that homosexuality should be illegal....

So what happens when a political movement wants to protect LGBT rights, but also wants more immigration, which, after enough time, assuming a large enough percentage of them are muslim, means a swing in the political leanings of a country, with conservatives probably more likely to be elected and LGBT rights taking a back seat?

You can't have your cake and eat it.

How unbelievably naive these administrators are. They can probably resign now, so the outraged muslim parents can fill the positions with more suitable tutors to represent their values. Dimwits!

I’m glad the absurdity of the alt lefts alliance with Islam is smacking them across the face. Where are all the counter protesters for the LGBT in Birmingham? They only care about politics. This situation shows the world the flaws in their ideology.

MSM always leave out those who don't fit their narrative; in this case Catholic parents for example. I am also a "wrong type" of ethnic minority" they never wish to include in their news - thank goodness! LOL
Don't sleepwalk into identity politics - that's what I would say.

Muslims accross Europe and US vote left, liberal Democrat because these parties let them come in their respective countries. They do NOT vote conservstive despite of their ideologies. Muslims will vote conservative if they become a majority and I don't mean western type of conservatism. Im talking about 7th century type of conservatism. Eventually, democrats and leftists will be outnumbered and possibly one day beheaded for blasphemy. Muslims do not integrate and their allegiance is with Islam first and foremost. Anyone that days otherwise, they are Taqiah-ing the living hell out of you.

It seems as though self contained contradictions like these may implode the radical left. As wreath stated below, the more "oppression points", the more cards you can play. I think this can lead to a lazy, defeatist attitude; rather than a "do it yourself, life is not meant to be easy" peterson attitude (which may be why many radical leftists don't seem agree with him on anything at all).

I thought since the school backed down that muslims would win (they have more oppression points due to being brown) but if even Owen Jones is making videos on it (without condemning the religious right for some strange reason but still) maybe the left does have a bit of spine after all.

Feast your eyes on this!

The last portion of the video when the man said, "ask the children", was, I felt, asinine. Asinine for the same reason that 16 year olds shouldn't be voting.

I am opposed based on Christian values. The schools are already full of leftist indoctrination materials. I know, I have grandchildren and will be homeschooling the two year old that lives with us.

He spoke to only one protester.

@Naomi Baby steps

I agree. What is conveniently left out is options, like homeschooling which you mention. Plus, there hasn't been much coverage on how LGBT lessons are actually going to be delivered to children at different ages, etc. (the headmaster showing what kind of books are used in the video is a good start). This is all about power struggles to me.

Good point. I've wondered that myself with the US Democratic party moving more extreme left, wanting increased immigration, and believing that Islam is a religion of peace.

I've been around long enough to see the leftist ideologies, and was part of them for decades. From preschool through grad school the leftist ideoligies exist. I don't believe that we should be catering to demands of a population (transgender) that is clearly bent on power. I also think that Muslims should be vetted before ever entering the US, and I would not be opposed to a Muslim ban for the US.

I think this will eventually bite the Democratic party as they elect more Muslims and LGBTQ representatives.
