Back during the House budget vote that denied money for The Wall, one crazy argument was a wall wasn’t needed because 90% of drugs coming across the border was through ports of entry. That was preposterous then. This article illustrates what is IMO a much more accurate story. Meanwhile Americans do seem to want those drugs. I believe The Wall is only the beginning of a very complex solution to wield power from the drug cartels.

They were only searching for drugs at the ports and only finding at the ports. Therefore the drugs could only be entering by the ports. Impeccable logic.
The media brazenly pushing this ideology of completely open borders convinced me we needed a wall. If we were dealing with sane people we could get by without.
