Click bait post - there is nothing to report regarding violent conflict in the South China Sea...if there was believe me - it would be all over the cable, network, radio news. I have clicked on videos from these people before...NEVER any substance to them. This video is no different.

It's hard to tell with some of these broadcasters who's who. I am aware that for several months now US, UK, Canada and other NATO countries have been carrying out coordinated excursions in the South China Sea.

@toronto_Georgia I know Georgia - please don't misunderstand my comment. I am NOT criticizing your post...I am criticizing the Deep Journal posts...all of them are exactly like this. They are good at using click bait titles for their videos and NONE of them have substance ...sorry if I made you feel bad...was NOT my intention. BTW I am right in line with you socially/politically and I always give your posts a thumbs up or a heart.

@iThink LOL, not to worry iThink, I wasn't taking it personally. My son is Navy so I have been keeping track of naval vessel activity, particularly in that region. US news broadcasters of every ilk get totally caught up on internal politics and economics often ignore most international events. Have you heard any more on the Canadian pipeline issue running through Whitmer's jurisdiction? Although a somewhat small incident between the US and Canada, it severely affects friends and family in Ontario and Quebec. Not a peep out of any of the broadcasters. That is why I will click on vids from alternate sources. A myopic press is frustrating.

I have not heard a word about that -

I could not agree more with your frustration with the mainstream myopic press. I agree it is very important for us to look for information where we can find it. Alternative news sources - thank God we still have people and organizations that provide a pipeline to news about things we absolutely NEED to know of.
As for the Deep Journal videos - I suffered through a lot of their videos waiting for and expecting the info as implied in the titles of those videos. You are much better informed about the goings on with regard to China and activities in that region by whatever your son can tell you than you would be by any Deep Journal videos.

@iThink sadly, my son has taken the "that's above my pay grade" attitude about world events. That grieves me, however with his lifestyle I suspect it is a survival technique. His wife has MS and, between the two of them, there are six kids to raise, most of whom are in the "fun" stage of teen life. He has enough on his plate.

@toronto_Georgia I understand - also it is worth knowing that as an enlisted or commissioned member of the US Military he is subject to the laws of the UCMJ. Military personnel are prohibited by law to take a stand on politics. They are to serve at the whims of the "Commander and Chief" - that would be the President.
Furthermore Sailors and soldiers are sworn to secrecy regarding deployments. They risk being charged and prosecuted for treason if they reveal details about deployment to trouble spots. Things like date and time of deployment; the mission of the deployment; the strength of the deployment...etc.
I am sure there are things going on that your son cannot talk about - to anyone - not even his own mother.

@iThink Absolutely. LOL, he's with the Canadian Navy stationed in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

China will take Taiwan in a lightening move. With the mindset that if taken quickly, the Biden White House will back down based on the Afghanistan withdrawal. Also the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US forces has shown weakness in the face of Chinese pressure.

I suspect you are right. One of these increasing flyovers will catch all off guard. Biden and Blinken would act more like ticked off school children stamping their feet "that's not fair".

@toronto_Georgia well if and or when things get "hot" - as in a shooting conflict with China you and I know they'll blame Trump

@iThink Creepy Joe blames "THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE" and "TRUMP" for any and all problems. But most of the time he just wants to sit under a shady tree and sniff the "LITTLE CHILDREN"
