The Labour Party of today appeals to very few working class voters and their rhetoric and policies are sliding downward on the scale of relevance --- But this is not a good situation for Britain to be in because we need a functioning opposition --- otherwise .......... There is no one in Parliament to challenge our government or stop them from railroading citizens with unfavourable and harmful policies
For the past decades, no labor union had the laborer's best interest in mind. It was always about number one for the union bosses.
any opposition you have perceived to exist for the last 25 years (at least) was wishful thinking. Same here in USA with our Republican (Conservative) Party and our Democratic (Socialist) Party. Gov't officials pretend to be oppositional with one another but that is only a con-game. Ultimately all of them, collectively and individually are motivated by one common thing. POWER. So the use the appearance of oppositional political philosophies to manipulate the general population. Just as Hitler did, our politicians routinely pit one demographic or special interest group against another.
