There is a way to test how far it has gone. If the liberal is willing to compromise with a Nazi, then the liberal is a fool at best. If the liberal waits until the Nazi's back is turned to stab the waste of carbon in the back, the liberal has some tactical thinking and is to be given a list of Nazis to begin hunting for the good of all humanity. If the liberal does not wait until the Nazi's back is turned to brutally murder the Nazi by ripping its arms off and beating the filthy race traitor to death, then you have what I like to call a Theodore Roosevelt Impersonator. This person is also to be given a list of Nazis to hunt, as well as anyone who is so much as sympathetic to the idea of an ethnostate.

I think it may be more of an issue of laziness rather than a full on mental condition. Most liberals I know just accept what the news tells them and what the narrative has been for their entire life. In saying that, they make you feel like a "flat earther" or an "anti-vaxxer" because you're using the same line of questioning. When I'm genuinely told to "look into the history" of South Africa because land redistribution is bad but the history is "more complicated and nuanced" than that, it makes me think that liberals just don't think things through. They feel like the information they've been spoon fed and brought up with is so widespread that it must be true. It's so ingrained in their psyche that nothing else could be true and, therefore, it doesn't warrant having to put too much thought into. But I think this suits them, too - as I say, the laziness is the biggest factor. I think it's why they don't stop and think that just because something happened in the past that is surely terrible, it doesn't mean that the opposite happening now is somehow justified or will fix the problem.

Their beliefs seem to be steeped in good intentions. Wanting everybody to equal is a nice idea on the surface, but when you think it through, you realise that the only way to achieve it is to treat everybody differently. Therefore, you sacrifice equality of opportunity to have equality of outcome. Worse, you punish some for their efforts in order to bring others up to their level or, more often, those at the top down to meet those at the bottom.

In so much as laziness could be considered a mental disorder, then yes. But how many times have you heard liberals, in public, expressing their views openly and grandly to anybody who will listen, only for you to chime in with something that disagrees and have them tell you some variant of "I don't want to get into a debate on it" or just simply describe the many ways they think you must be a horrible person.

Growing up in Scotland, I was told what people on the left think by people on the left. But I was told what people on the right think by people on the left. I think liberals just don't bother to realise that or to look more into it. They don't stop for a second to think that people on the right may not be awful and nasty people, or to try to figure out why they might have that opposing point of view. They just know they're right.

With 30% of Canadians still prepared to support the Trudeau Liberals despite all the obvious malfeasance, one has to ask.
