What’s your opinion on gun laws. Should all people be able to own guns? Do you feel there should be more/ less in backgrounds checks?

The Second Amendment is only a line on a piece of paper. Or more specifically several lines on parchment. It doesn’t carry any quasi divine status. Mass shootings and 10000 bodies per year are real.

More for mental disorders as i see this as the only danger of someone who has guns

Aussie here and despite the constant cries from the lefties that our gun laws are too lax (You can't make this shit up) we seem to have struck a happy medium. No major shootups of the public and guys like me that enjoy an "aroma therapy" session shooting holes in paper can still enjoy ourselves. 🙂 And all i can say to Organicplum is when did the Scotties hand over their balls??!!.....

Obviously biased here, I live in Scotland we (the public) don't need or want guns, imagine if our children got hold of them and shot people that would be insane, or?

Well where I live in Northern Canada It's normal to see a bear or moose daily!
We have guns for protection plain and simple!

@RubyWright if I had polar bears in my back garden I would have one too but here in Edinburgh we don't even have mosquito

@MADcHATTER ... The natural effect of the Muslims living in a kind functioning society is that it dilutes the extremists over time, the children go to school make friends with non Muslim children and when those Muslims leave school they are corrupted towards our society, "always use the minimum force to solve a problem"

I do believe our constitution grants us a right to bear arms. I also believe that the government can regulate that in a rational way which does not severely infringe on our rights. That might include a general background check to see if we suffer from mental illness, are on a terrorist list or are criminally violent.

The 2nd Amendment does not “grant” citizens the right to bear arms. That right is inherent to us just as our existence. The 2nd Amendment is written as a limitation on government and it was written for a specific purpose. “Shall not be infringed” means exactly what it says. Every member of the House and Senate and the President swear an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the Unisted States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” I believe anyone actively trying to subvert the constitution should be tried for treason and if found guilty, punished accordingly. There are ways to amend the constitution.

I think people forget that the 2nd Amendment was written as a limitation on government and not permission to own arms.

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms" Was upheld by the Supreme Court. It is an individual right to own arms. Guns, knives etc.

I live in Kentucky and approx. 2 weeks ago our state legislator passed an amendment to our Conceal Carry law which now allows all to carry a Concealed Weapon without a permit. Often called a Constitutional Right to Carry as defined in the United States Constitution. Kentucky has a Heads UP on what the Democratic Socialist in government are trying to do and that is DISARM AMERICA. Proud to live in MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME and liberal socialist ARE NOT welcome here!

Interesting you have a gun and tell someone with a different opinion to come near you?
Any other reason your armed self will get upset colour or race ?
