If someone with a little credibility, like Mike Pompeo for instance, were doing the negotiations in Vietnam it would likely bear fruit. But Harris is not even liked by Democrats, at least not enough to garner votes in the primary.

I doubt it. We were bound to lose in Afghanistan, even under Trump. The U.S. cannot be trusted, it has proven that in every fiasco it has perpetrated.
