I'm familiar with and enjoy Jordan Peterson, David Rubin, and Ben Shapiro. Not familiar with the other names listed. Interested to see how discussion goes here. What should I know about Joe Rogan and Sam Harris?

Sam Harris is a god of all things atheist, philosophical, neuroscience, pyschelics and meditation. His interview podcast 'Making Sense' is more substantial and entertaining for me than Joe Rogan. I think I just like listening to his voice and facility with language to be frank. His meditation app 'Waking Up' puts a genuinely different spin on meditation than anything I've come across in the last 30 years of meditation. 10 min meditations a day, each one different from the last. Bound to twist your brain and make an impact.

Joe Rogan is probably the best podcast/show host out there; he is like Rubin but better (in my opinion). He asks good questions that the viewer is wondering and is not afraid to be a little combative when people say things that don't make sense. He is smart but I doubt he would consider himself an "intellectual."

Rogan does very long thorough interviews, some are 3+ hours...he's had Peterson and Shapiro on a couple of times. I "think" he's only had Harris once, I could be wrong. He has a very colorful language so don't watch anything involving Rogan with children around. Harris is a very intelligent soft spoken and mild tempered respectable guy, but he's also the new front man for atheism. He has a podcast called Waking Up with Sam Harris. He's equally controversial amongst atheist and religious people. He does his own thing. The three share the same views on a majority of topics, but differ very much in the religion dept. I highly reccommend the Peterson/Harris debates "Atheism vs. Theism", and the Sunday Special with Shapiro and Harris to learn more on Harris. You can pick any of the interviews Rogan has done with Harris, Shapiro or Peterson to get an idea of what he's about. He's pretty consistent in his character with all his guests. Also, Rogan smokes a lotta weed. It's somewhat of a trademark of his at this point.

Someone described Rogan as "Oprah for men". Funny, but perhaps a bit simplistic. I'm not always on the same page as Harris but I think he is very honest in his thinking.

Rogan is a very good interviewer. Harris seems smart and has a big following. Not my cup of tea
