Should 16 year olds be allowed to vote?. You know, those adolescents of an age to seriously consider taking a YouTube Challenge...

Somewhere, lurking behind all of these YouTube Challenges is an Advertising Genius. How else could you get even one person to try it? Somewhere a Salesman is Born.

"Hey kids, wanna be Totes Hella-Extra-Crunka-Cool? Set yourself on Fire and upload the video to YouTube! All of your friends will behold your manifest Way-Cray-Uber-Gubernatorial Coolness and be green with envy. Btw that's the next YouTube Challenge, Paint Yourself Green (and Develop Def Leprechaun Powers!)

Be the first on your cyber-block to take The No Lackin' Challenge. Just pull a gun on a friend and say, "No Lackin'."
Imagine your friends envy and Hunka-Hunka-Crunka-Consternation when they view the video! Imagine the look of rockin'-shock on your best friend's face when you Manly-Brandish your sick-wicked-weapon in his face. Imagine the chagrin on your uploaded face when he pulls a loaded gun of his own and crusty-busts a cap in your ass! Hilarity and ephemeral notoriety ensue!

No. No. No. Science has proven that the brain doesn't stop developing until the age of 25. So if anything the age limit should be lifted. The youth of today has proven that they can not be trusted to vote and the educational system doesn't teach them to be free thinkers anymore.

Absolutely positively NO. 16 year olds of this generation are vastly different than any previous generation. It may be wrong to be this judgmental but i feel that these 16 year olds can barely tie their own shoes. Entitlement culture and the lack of accountability on their part is a recipe for disaster.

Do they really want this 16yr old to vote? She’s too busy licking toilet seats!! SMH!!

Would you kiss her????????

5

Definitely not. It should be raised if anything.

I'm optimistic that voter ID will be coming. The dems are going to lose a lot of their illegals that voted so they need to replace them somehow. 16 year olds eat tide pods and light themselves on fire (not all of them... but c'mon!)

We can hope. Unfortunately here in Minnesota they want to give illegals drivers licenses.

@Robin357 Jersey too. It's infuriating!

I have four kids. two 13 one 15 one 16. none of them should vote. Anyone who can get there phone taken away from their mom because they need to study and get their grades up... shouldn't be voting. 🙂

The left has lost there base . Black people are waking up from there slave mentality and the Hispanics to . There just sick of living and voting democrat and not seeing results. . So go after the week minds of a sixteen year old and imagrants and promise the the world like some grade school elections and the weeek mind will vote for your party . My point of view on this .

Yep sounds like a great idea. Since they have that right then let them drink, own guns and work in the sex trade as well. Let’s just lower the age that you become an adult. Will work out great. Sure it will.

No 16 year olds are morons....hell most 22 yo I know are morons

3

No, because they will be influenced by teachers and peers rather than vote as independent ppl.

2

NO..... However... If our kids were being properly educated on the Constitution, and more moderate leaning values. I can see why this idea can gain traction. The point had been made that if we engage them early to the ideas that impact that generation they will grow up in then....
Nobody knows.......

No they will be pushed to what there teacher preaches . Look at the college students now and there 18-25 years old and still have not woken up . Just fallow there narrative.

That's a definite NO. I think everyone understands why lowering the voting age is bad idea. I think most people also see this proposal for what it is...a blatant attempt by the left to harvest more votes.

20 years ago I would have said yes, but todays youth have been brainwashed. So, NO!

My kids are in their 40's and 50's. If they went to public schools 20 years ago, they were brainwashed. I was able to correct most of it. They even tried it on me, didn't take. I was NOT allowed to go to my own graduation, but I did get my diploma.

In short i don't think 16 year olds should vote (not in the US but the question applies here too). There needs to be a gap for young people between forming their political opinions and actually voting on them. It's an opportunity at least, if they are politically aware and motivated, to become more educated on issues that interest them.

There are people with an IQ too low to join the army, what's the difference. ? Do we sit a test to see how smart we are first ?

1

No they shouldnt. Their to easily led and brainwashed at that age. Any politicians offering free stuff these babies will vote for.

Precisely the reason why liberals want them to be able to vote. They forget the frontal lobe cortex does not mature until early to mid 20s, yet another reason why they want them to be able to vote . . . before they age up and out of the liberal agenda.

1

Absolutely NOT!

Adults are throwing sliced cheese at their babies, do you really think we should lower the voting age and not concider raising it?

Hey Kids, take the Lemon Juice Stigmata Challenge!
Give yourself wounds like unto those of Christ and then pour lemon juice in them!
Then speak in tongues! It's cray-cray squar in the amaze-balls of grace!

Should we grant suffrage to such fools as we must then suffer gladly?
Duh... of course the answer is a resounding No.

I didn't actually mean this post as a yes or no question. It's almost rhetorical... that's kinda why I spent the rest of the post ridiculing children of such an age and not fully developed mindset.

Hell no their still in diapers,

I see just as many "adults" doing the YouTube challenges as I see kids doing them.

You can educate ignorant, but you can't fix STUPID!!!!!!!!!

@Serg97 very true

Yes, but their vote should only count as half. Get them used to the process, so that by the time their 18, they can look back at their first election and realize that they had no idea what they were doing.
