I've deactivated my Facebook account and replaced it with you fine people in the IDW Community. Am I the only one?

Thanks for the words of encouragement! Here's some cat photos in case you miss FB.

I was considering doing the same but would miss out on various pics of peoples food. Besides, I'm not gonna go back to the stone age of remembering birthdays on my own.

Seriously considering it. Today's my first day here, and already I'm enjoying the fact that I haven't seen any toddler worthy meltdowns over the Mueller probe.

Hello, I will keep my Facebook for sharing family pics but will come here for intelligent dialouge. Good stuff!

I'm still on FB but not as often

Honestly wish I could delete it, but my son’s school, as well as most of his extracurricular groups, insist on communicating with parents via the FB group page feature. It makes me insane. Apparently, good ole fashioned email distribution lists are too difficult to manage?

You can deactivate FB but keep the messenger app if that helps

@HollyLouise We do. We even have a phone-based communication system called “Remind” that they fervently push parents to sign up for, at the beginning of the year, but then they never use it. All information would be pushed real-time, via text—simple and effective. FB communication ends up being the default, even though it means parents may or may not even see the info, based on the frequency they log in. Makes me insane!

I'm still on both. My news feed on FB is bigger. I often post stories I find there over here.

@VonO for all of Facebooks flaws I miss the news feed

I hope we are worth it.

@Clammypollack me too.

Eh, I never even used FB before, and never will.

Keep Facebook many of my friends wouldn't participate in a site like this. Enjoy their connection. Perhaps in time things will change.

I only log into Facebook once a day , just to check notifications . My 4960 friends miss me , but not enough to come over to IDW , apparently

I’ve considered it, when on Facebook I feel like I’m deliberately trying to waste time and I’m becoming more and more not ok with that

@805collins that's how I felt too

True that!

That is also something that has been eating at me.

They finally let me out of Facebook jail . I'm only using it to promote IDW . I'm only logged in long enough to write a new promo

Thanks for your post regarding deleting fake book. Im glad to hear from others who have done so as I have about had it with fake book. So thank you for your post as it encourages me towards the same outcome.

I just joined as well, like the feel of it so far. Even though currently on a Facistbook 30 day ban I am not deactivating my account as I like to troll Libtards there jaja

Trolling Libtards got me banned for life from Twitter .

@Georgesblogforum At least you got me in George right before they banned you and Im one outspoken SOB! Proud to be your last Fakebook to IDW convert!

@CraigCollins They let me out and I'm thinking up new reasons why people should sign up with IDW .

Since coming here I have given FB deactivation serious consideration - it is just a long running advert!

I post stuff occasionally, like Jordan Peterson, but mainly to check up on friends and family. Maybe if phones, or letter writing were still commission n forms of communication, would totally have no use for FB.

My FB is bombarded with leftie talk all ALL the time. Just sick of all this pious rants about the racists and nazies - Hitler - the left must secretly love Hitler and nazies they bring them up so often. They are closer in logic. Liking this site and I see it as a nice new place where people discuss.

I recently found IDW because of people I follow on Twitter, I have family and friends from around the world on FB so I still give it some time but I have deleted my Instagram this week and am contemplating the same fate for FB. People need to be able to share their views without ridicule.

0

Still on Facebook, but mostly sharing and responding to non-political posts there.

0

I'm off Twitter and FB. I don't want to support these platforms that are detrimental to society.

0

Still use FB. I have a lot of non political pages (gardening, camping, etc) that I think help keep some of the crazy at arms-length. However, I deleted the app a while ago and find myself on it less and less. I do like it to keep up with my family.

0

No, still on Facebook and IG. Too many family members and real friends there to leave.

I have actually seen a video about people leaving facebook in mass i think it was about 5% of young Americans decrease, made me quite happy. It will end up as myspace or icq, i use it only to communicate with people for free... (yes im avare of the privacy problem and in fact due to this i hope it will perrish)
