Solar panels work well in a desert, sure. But once you have to transport the energy long distances they are pointless. Their proper niche is on a house in the boonies, or load peak leveling for air conditioning on houses in southern states. Otherwise they are just expensive, environmentally disastrous virtue signaling for green ideologists. As to assertions that we don't need a wall, when the people actually trying to police the border say we do, that is more than a little suspect in my opinion. And yes I'm happy to back my two opinions up with articles and statistics if you are disinclined to do the research yourself.
