Where do you line up on this true spectrum? Right meaning total anarchy, purge, no law, survival of the fittest, and left being total slavery and dictatorship control, no freedom.

I would in all likelihood end up between Traditionalist/Conservative and Libertarian.

More right of center than moderate. I used to define myself as an Independent but the further into socialism the left goes the less likely I believe I can ever cast a vote in their favor again.

Can't agree with the spectrum. In my mind, the far right would be mapping out the bible and living accordingly.

This would be more enticing to participate in if there were clearly stated definitions of the positions. I am not educated well enough to be able to define the lines for myself. I actually think these labels are detrimental and serve a more nefarious than positive role in our political arena.

Data collection ? I don't think I'll bite. Plus you don't have enough selections of degree. Sorry.

I see people getting offended/mad over this spectrum, because they do not fully understand what it means. You need to throw out all of the garbage propaganda that the textbooks and media has fed you, and realize, this is what the true left and right wing looks like. So when somebody tells you that the Nazis are far right, that is the exact opposite of what they really are. They are far left, meaning total government control, basically no freedom. Hints the name National Socialist Party. Too many people have bought into this garbage they have been feed, where they believe that conservative traditionalists who say oppose gay marriage for example, are "far right" when that's totally false. If they oppose gay marriage, that means they support some government control over marriage. If there is more government control, and less freedom, that is not far right. Before anyone feels the need to argue for or against gay marriage, I am only using that as an example of what a traditionalist would believe.

The POLITICAL adgenda now is to fire up people so that the government can step in and make more laws. More laws bigger government, less freedom. Our freedom of speech is being regulated.. POLITICAL correctness. Our freedom of religion is being regulated, cannot say that you won't bake a cake for a gay couple because it's against your belief, cannot say you are against abortion because it is against your beliefs. Our 2 amendment right to bear arms is under attack, due to some mentally ill people using guns, when law abiding gun owners have not been complicit in any crime but are being attacked because of others actions. THE CONSTITUTION is the law of this land. STAND behind it, or go live elsewhere.

I prefer the label Proto-Libertarian Consequentialist

I disagree with you labeling the far right as Anarchism

Like one of the Federalist Papers authors said... Something like this: A free people cannot remain free without morality, or personal responsibility

In other words, If your neighbor offends you by firing up his unmuffled lawnmower too early in the morning you shouldn't retaliate by burning down his house

The level of control a government needs to assert is inversely proportional to the level in society of personal responsibility

This is what Far right is supposed to mean. People often get it confused, when they speak of the far right as republicans. The far right is really about zero government, while the far left is about total government control. This is how everyone should think of left/right. Anarchists are the only ones that are truly far right. Not conservatives, they are closer to the middle because they believe in government to an extent, such as military and public safety and so on, so conservatives are not far right.

@Liberty_Hawk I always thought of the extreme far right as like the John Birch Society

Just the name has a cliquish flavor to it

So there are further right groups?

Extremes on either end is... Well extreme

I live my life you live your's. Little federal government just for common defense. Rules and regs done on local level, free market.

Constitutionalist

I would say that is mostly libertarian then.

Thats the spectrum that has been removed from todays books in order to indoctrinate kids in schools. When I attended school in the 60's-70's this was the true political scale. Not anymore, they have created a new one for marxist propaganda. Even Wikipedia is in on the action,.claiming Hitler was a "right wing dictator". Anyone who grew up before major indoctrination began will tell you dictatorships only occur in increased power governments, and by definition CANNOT occur under limited power (right wing) governments. KARL MARX "Total control of a nation cannot be achieved without a dedicated propaganda program".

2

I am of the opinion that less government is better and the individual should be able to do as the will but do no harm.
However, I believe that a nation should have strong boarders.

I consider myself mostly a non-federalist libertarian.

For me, somewhere between classic conservative and libertarian.

1

Where did you get this “True Spectrum”?
I consider your “spectrum” as shown to be garbage.
I consider myself a Liberal Constitutional Conservative by Liberal I don’t mean whatever the hell they seem to think it means today ...

May I make a suggestion.... take off all of the "parties" at the top of the line. The "left/right" dichotomy has always been false, and came from the French revolution. The real spectrum is totalitarianism on one side and anarchy on the other.... on the sliding scale between the two extremes, our founders tried to find the " spot" that would delivery enough government as needed to protect the citizens, while allowing the maximum individual liberty. I think they did well. We get into trouble any time we move away from their principles.

What you just described, is called Libertarian.

A true spectrum is a circle, not a straight line.

I understand, but as you can see, some are confused by this simple straight line, so i did not feel the need, to make it more complex.

1

Classic, live and let live.

3

Strictly by the constitution!! Nothing else!

1

Libertarian.
