How many of you (the community, not just the admins) would like a debating section of this social media platform? I'm not talking about the "debating strategies" category of posts. I'm talking about an actual function of the sight which allows users to have organized, formal 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 debates with each other.
"1000 words for the affirmative, 1000 words for the opposition, 600 word rebuttal..." stuff like that. Also, if I had it my way, it wouldn't be timed. We would actually have plenty of time to refer to the internet to improve their arguments. It's online, which raises connectivity issues and the possibility of environmental issues getting in the way, some people can't type as fast as others, but, most importantly, that would be the whole point; to help each other become sharper by improving their arguments real-time. We can talk about whether or not there would be a winner decided but I think it best to not keep a "win record" on our profile.
