Government interfering with the policies of private businesses; what could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Let's see:

  • A person on SLUG calling for the death of all it's members could only be banned for 14 days after which they would have to be allowed back on.

  • A person on Facebook scamming the elderly out of their savings could only be banned for 14 days after which they would have to be allowed back in.

  • A person on Twitter doxxing their ex-girlfriend would only be banned for 14 days after which they would be allowed back in.

  • A person on a SaviourConnect could spend all their time trying to convert people to Islam while simultanously insulting any christian for being a heathen and they would only be banned for 14 days after which they would be allowed back in.

Let the games begin!!!!!!
This will hurt the peaceful users of social media WAY more than it will ever hurt Big Tech.

What could the state of Florida do if it itself got deplatformed?

I suspect that even the arrogant leadership of Twitter and Facebook, for example, would yet be that brazen, especially since there are probably more states that will start passing the same kinds of laws.

@KeithThroop to a different but related topic, I think too many Americans are afraid of Martial Law. Under this corrupt administration, yes. But if under somebody like Trump and limited in duration to help reign in the insanity, that should be a welcome thing.

@eschatologyguy Well, past presidents have federalized the National Guard or sent federal troops to put down violence in cities or to enforce federal law, and this is a far cry from martial law. I thought Trump should have done the former despite the fact that the MSM would have falsely accused him of trying to do the latter.

@KeithThroop wasn't aware of those options.
